This treatment starts with a session of hormonal therapy to stimulate the development of follicles in the ovary, after stimulation eggs are collected to be fertilized in vitro to form embryos, after 2 -5 days in the incubators at least 2 -3 embryos are transferred to the woman’s uterus where implantation takes place. Like natural conception, not every implanted embryos in ivf become pregnant.
Blocked or damaged Fallopian tubes: fertilization takes place where an egg travels through Fallopian tube, therefore in case or absent or damaged Fallopian tube fertilization cannot occur.
Low sperm count: if the sperms are not motile, or if a man is not able to produce enough sperm as per the requirement, then conceiving becomes difficult.
Irregular ovulation: if there’s irregularity in periods conceiving may become difficult.
