Dr.
Mahant is an Executive Director, Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery. He passed
his MS Surgery (1978) and MCh. Cardiovascular Surgery (1981) from PGIMER Chandigarh.
Over the years he has trained in Australia, New Zealand and the United States
of America. He was Professor of Cardiac Surgery at SGPGI, Lucknow during the period
1990 - 1995, following which he took on the role of Chief of Cardiac Surgery at
Batra Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Mahant has had an extremely successful eight-year
tenure at Batra Hospital, spearheading the hospital's cardiac program to great
heights while he was there. Dr.
Mahant is an asset with over twenty years of rich experience in the field of heart
surgery, having worked with top hospitals both in the country and overseas. He
has performed more than 15,000 surgeries ranging from newborns to 90 year old,
simple to complex, congenital diseases, as well as various thoracic and vascular
surgeries.
