Assessment services, prior to taking a patient for treatment the patient undergoes a complete assessment of his rehabilitation needs by a neurologist/neurosurgeon who identify goals and decide the treatment.

Patient has the sole discretion of accepting/choosing the treatment modality.



Behavioral Management


During the recovery process, the neurological injured patient manifests a wide spectrum of behavioral changes. These range from disorientation in time and space, unable to establish continuity in their lives, because their retrograde and / or anterograde memory maybe severely impaired.

Physio-Occupational Therapy


Physio-occupational therapy is a unique multifaceted treatment procedure to help neurologically affected patients to maximize their potential and gain skills to face challenging situations or disabilities. They help disabled individuals to engage in meaningful purposeful activity by planning and implementing activity based treatment program.

Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist aim at not just life, but "Quality Life" for the patients and the family. They provide holistic care of the patient taking into account the physical, mental, spiritual and psychological aspects of a patient's recovery.

The therapeutic exercises provide help in regaining functional independence. Aids and adaptive devices are suggested. Environmental modifications are incorporated to facilitate recovery.

For patients who have to live with a permanent disability, vocational evaluation and guidance are provided. Liaison with other team members of the NRU helps to cover a wider arena of problems for the patients. Therapists help in effective reintegration of patients within the society. The I.I.T. Delhi has computer software for the use of severely disabled like quadriplegics. They will also be asked to help in a case-to-case basis.

The occupational therapist help to identify suitable employment opportunities and offer vocational guidance or help the patient to adjust to changed circumstances in his present job.
